Launching the Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG)

The Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG) is being launched as a global non-profit collaborative organization supporting the Ethereum application ecosystem.

As the Ethereum ecosystem reaches a new level of infrastructure maturity, the focus is increasingly shifting toward the application layer. EAG aims to support this transition by advancing the innovation, adoption, and real-world impact of Ethereum-native applications.

How EAG Operates

By collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the ecosystem, EAG is building a global network dedicated to open collaboration, shared infrastructure, and the long-term sustainability of the Ethereum application layer.

Guided by the principles of openness and decentralization, EAG operates as an ecosystem-driven organization, independent of any single institution. Its work focuses on:

  • Advancing real-world applications.

  • Connecting cross-disciplinary networks.

  • Supporting shared evaluation and development frameworks.

  • Building sustainable funding mechanisms.

In practice, this mission is realized through founder-focused programs, shared evaluation infrastructure, and global builder education programs. By organizing regional showcases, co-locating with major ecosystem events, and providing structured exposure through showcases, demo days, and ecosystem platforms, EAG ensures that impactful work receives meaningful visibility and support.

Sustainable Funding Mechanisms

To support the long-term development of the Ethereum application ecosystem, EAG is establishing sustainable funding mechanisms through two primary pathways:

  • Membership Contributions: Tiered for organizations based on scale (including valuation, market capitalization, or assets under management (AUM), where applicable). Listed companies follow a fixed annual contribution structure.

  • Staking Rewards Contributions: Enabling ETH holders to direct a portion of staking rewards toward ecosystem growth. The EAG Contribution Pool, developed in collaboration with HashKey Cloud (an infrastructure platform under HashKey Group), is currently in progress and will be available soon.

2026 Global Application & Builder Initiatives

EAG has introduced the 2026 Global Application & Builder Initiatives as a structured set of regional programs supporting developers in emerging and underrepresented regions.

From May to September 2026, these initiatives will take place across Latin America, Africa, Oceania, and India. Through developer education, hackathons, selection tracks, and academic and research sessions, the program aims to strengthen local builder communities and support the development of regionally relevant applications.

Selected teams and individual developers will be invited to participate in the ShanHaiWoo 2026 residency in Hong Kong and Mumbai for further development, and will later come together during Devcon as part of the broader Ethereum ecosystem.

Join EAG

As Ethereum application adoption approaches a critical inflection point, EAG invites builders, institutions, and ecosystem participants to join and contribute to shaping the next phase of the Ethereum application ecosystem.
